Over the years this has been a popular question, even among seasoned Psychic Mediums. The simplest way to explain what it is and how it works is to give you a few examples. So here we go.
Automatic writing is the writing down of information that is channeled through the receiver. There are several ways it can be done:
One: The receiver sits quietly, closes their eyes, clears their mind, asks for guidance from their higher source (God, Jesus, Buddha, Angels, guides, universal energy, mother earth, etc.), then waits patiently for information to come into their awareness. As it does, they write it down as quickly as possible, without thought other than holding the pen/pencil to the paper. In this example, the writer does not open their eyes until they come to a stopping point. Yes, the paper can get a little messy.
Two: The receiver sits, clears their mind, asks for guidance, keeps their eyes open, and then writes down the information that they receive. This example can present a challenge for those who autocorrect out of habit. You have to learn to let go of your own thoughts, and write down the information that you receive as fast as you can regardless of spelling and punctuation errors. This is the automatic writing process that I use.
Three: The receiver clears their mind, asks for guidance, keeps their eyes open, and then types the information that they receive directly into their laptop, tablet, cell phone, etc. Similar to #2, this example can present a problem if your analytical mind wants to step in and autocorrect what you are channeling. I have used my cell phone on many occasions when I receive random guidance/information and am outside of my home shopping, etc.
Four: The receiver clears their mind, asks for guidance, keeps their eyes open or closed depending on where they are and what they are doing (safety first!), and then channels the information out loud into a voice recorder. Now, technically, this is not writing, but it works. Life is busy, we have to adjust. Trying to remember divine guidance isn’t always easy, and sometimes it comes to us at the craziest times. What is important is that we are listening!
Regardless of the process you use, the main thing to keep in mind is its purpose – to channel information from your higher-self or source.
I use automatic writing when I’m just in need of a little advice or direction. Sometimes I pull a Tarot or Oracle card, most of the time I use automatic writing. When I look back at all the things I have written over the years, it is fascinating. The uplifting messages are priceless. The voice patterns and vocabulary are not mine. I have even channeled poetry, ideas for new books, and a name for a home business. This eventually led to a few sketches of people and places that were added to the messages that I received.
It can be very hard to let go and let the universe do its job. But with practice, you will get much better at listening vs. talking to yourself and knowing when it is you telling yourself what you want to hear vs. listening to divine guidance.
Go on now, give it a go!
