As we move forward to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday, let’s take a moment to truly give thanks to those around us both in the physical and energetic worlds. Many times in life we forget to do this, looking past all that has been provided to us as our needs and wants continue to change each day. But please don’t let that be this Thanksgiving.
Whether you are spending it alone, with family, at work, at a charity event, on the beach, or under a blanket in your bedroom, take a moment to reflect on this year. Begin to see and feel all of the love that surrounds you and acknowledge the gifts that so many of us have and take for granted each day: having a roof over our head, clothing to cover our bodies, food in our stomachs, the ability to take care of ourselves, loved ones in our life, jobs to pay the bills, transportation, overall health and well-being, our faith, and hope.
These may seem normal to us, but they are not. As I’m typing this article, there are millions of people around the globe that are struggling to stay alive. Having a home, clothing other than what they are wearing, a meal once a day, and an income to provide for themselves and their loved ones, seems like only a dream.
So please give thanks, because we have so much in our lives to be thankful for.
Happy Thanksgiving! Gobble Gobble!
